Joining and Supporting IYEA
Why join IYEA?
The best reason to join is to show the world that you are taking a strong stand for your own standards of education in yoga, and that you will not tolerate the enforcement of anyone else's standards on you, your program or your students.
How to join
Membership in IYEA is completely voluntary, and couldn't be easier.
You are a member if you say you are.
You may use the IYEA designation on any of your materials or communications completely for free and without restriction. You alone are responsible for what you do or say in the name of IYEA - to pretend otherwise would be dishonest.
We maintain no list, registry or listing service for you or your program, as that would make it easy for your state's regulators to target you with their enforcement efforts.
How to support IYEA
Supporting IYEA is easy. Just click on the "donate" button and you may send any amount through PayPal. Your contribution will go directly to the upkeep of this website, the production of more articles, essays, press releases and interviews.
A $10.00 minimum donation will give you one year of access to our Google Groups discussion forum, where you will be able to directly communicate your questions and opinions with other yoga educators, and with leaders of the international yoga community. This will become a unique and invaluable forum for support, discussion, education and inspiration.
The PayPal notification of your donation will serve as your subscription to the Google Group, and you will be enrolled under the e-mail address listed by PayPal, unless you request we use another.
Donations may be tax-deductible
We are not a non-profit or any other kind of incorporated entity, but you may deduct you donation as either an educational expense, or as a subscription to a professional publication. Please consult your accountant if you have any questions about the deductiblity of you contribution.
The only requirement that IYEA asks of its members is that they clearly communicate to the public what their standards are, and agree to be held accountable for those standards.
